COLON HYDROTHERAPY is often referred to as Colonics or Colon Irrigation and is used for the purpose of colon cleansing and colonoscopy prep. It is a safe and gentle process of using purified water, no chemicals or drugs, to soften and remove waste from the large intestines resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis.
What to Expect
A colonic is a comfortable experience for most people. During a session, most upper clothing is kept on with a drape or gown covering your body to ensure modesty. Your dignity is always maintained.
How does it work?
Water flows through a Carbon Filter and Ultra Violet Purification System for the purest of water before it passes through the small disposable cleansing nozzle. Water flows gently into the rectum and waste releases naturally around the nozzle. A gentle slow rate of UV purified-temperature safe water is fed from the gravity-fed Column. Less than four gallons of water may be used during the session at a safe temperature of 98 F. to 102 F. (Water temperature is safely controlled and adjusted). An Odor Exhaust System insures that the session room and entire center remains odor free. Three feet of clear viewing tube will allow the client and the therapist to easily view the waste during releases. You may urinate anytime during the session. A rinsing sprayer is used to rinse bottom after session. Sessions last approximately 45 minutes. Modesty is protected at all times. A certified colon hydrotherapist is always nearby to monitor and provide client assistance and comfort as needed. The LIBBE allows for client privacy as preferred. After each therapy session, the unit is thoroughly cleansed and disinfected.
There is No Odor, No Speculum and No Mess!
A typical session is scheduled for 45 minutes and you should allow one hour per office visit.
How Many Colon Hydrotherapy Sessions?
Everyone is different, so the number of sessions will depend completely on the individual’s wellness goals and/or Physician requirements. Just as people exercise on a regular basis to tone and tighten their outer body, some people also have an on-going cleansing, toning and rebuilding regimen for their inner body. Colon Hydrotherapy can be used as part of any regular maintenance program. Physicians, such as Dr. Kellogg, Dr. Wiltsie, Dr. Waddington, and others suggest twelve sessions over a ten week period; two back-to-back sessions the first week, two back-to-back session the second week and then once a week for eight weeks. Back-to-back means 1 today & 1 tomorrow.
Colon Hydrotherapy may not be for everyone. Please check with your physician or healthcare practitioner prior to the session. Any changes in health conditions or contraindications must be reported to your Colon Hydrotherapist.“These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
